Daily summary
Day 1
Departure 14:30 from Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi Region of Namibia (Caprivi Strip) where we meet for a pre-departure briefing.
Katima is:
19 km from Katima Mpacha airport (3 weekly FlyWestair flights from Windhoek)
127 km from Kasane international Airport (Transfer can be arranged)
225 km from Victoria Falls international Airport (Transfer can be arranged)
Here we go! 130 km to reach our destination inside the Bwabwata National Park.
The location of our Campsite within the pristine and untouched Kwando Core area, has the local and migrant animal species wandering through the campsites. Elephants, Hippos, Hyena, and a resident Leopard are common visitors to this idyllic woodland island. With spacious campsites right on the river banks and shaded by age old trees, your vistas will leave you yearning for more.

Day 2
Today we start with a Game drive in the park at sunrise to get the best light and sightings for your photographic opportunities.
We will then get back to the campsite for the bush breakfast.
After spending some relaxed time admiring the beautiful landscape surrounding our camp we will depart for a 3h Game Drive and we will get back in time to prepare for dinner under the African sky!
Namibia’s Bwabwata National Park is 190km (118 miles) of protected land, with large populations of elephant, buffalo, roan and sable antelope, red lechwe and predators such as wild dog, lion, leopard, hyena and cheetah.Â

Day 3
Today we travel for 200km to reach the our Campsite that offers the perfect location from which to enjoy the Popa Falls, a series of enchanting rapids where the Okavango river cascades downwards on its journey to the Okavango Delta in neighbouring Botswana. We will be located just few km North of the Buffalo core are of Bwabwata NP.
During the 3 nights staying at this wonderful spot we will visiting also the Mahango Core Area and have the opportunity to cruise on the Okavango river (Optional).

Day 4
Today you will have a free morning where you relax or go fishing the famous Tiger fish (Catch and Release). This is an optional activity offered from the Campsite.
Around 15:00 we will be departing for our PM Game drive to explore the small but spectacular Mohango Core Area.
Mahango Core Area is listed as an internationally important bird area (supporting globally threatened species) and is an avian diversity hotspot. Some bird species of conservation concern that occur in Bwabwata include the critically endangered Bittern and Pel’s Fishing Owl, and the endangered African Marsh-Harrier, Rock Pratincole, Rufous-bellied Heron, Slaty Egret, Southern Ground Hornbill and Wattled Crane.

Day 5
Early wake up to get the best out of a morning Game Drive along the floodplains of the Buffalo Core Area.
The first people to live in the area now referred to as Bwabwata National Park were the San (Khwe and Kung), before
the first bantu tribes entered the area in the late 18th century. In 1945, following tsetse fly infestation, resident
Hambukushu, Mafwe and Mayeyi people moved out of the low lying areas in the Park.
Covering a vast area of 6,274km2, Bwabwata National Park is the largest of the four protected areas that make up theNorth-East Parks. Bwabwata is comprised of three Core Areas designated for special protection and controlled tourism – Kwando (1,345km2), Buffalo (629km2), and Mahango (245km2).

Day 6
Today we area driving back to the East and we will set our camp along the Kwando river.
Mudumu National Park, one of Namibia’s least-known parks, is richly rewarding for adventurous visitors. The main attraction is the riverine habitat of the Kwando River, while inland is the Mudumu Mulapo fossilised river course and the dense mopane woodland shelter woodland species. There is no formal entrance gate or park fence – the park is separated from neighbouring communal farmland by a graded cutline.
In the afternoon we will explore the Mudumu NP on a Game Drive then back for another amazing dinner under the African Sky!Â

Day 7
An early morning Game Drive takes us to explore the National Park, Mudumu is home to a large elephant population. The park acts as a corridor for these pachyderms as they migrate between Botswana, Zambia, Angola and Zimbabwe.
The afternoon is free a you can join a Sunset boat cruise along the Kwando (Optional).

Day 8
After your breakfast we are departing South and after 50KM we will be arriving on the Northen border of Nkasa Rupara NP.
Nkasa Rupara National Park formally known as Mamili National Park was officially proclaimed on 1 March 1990, just days before Namibia gained Independence. This is the largest wetland area with conservation status in Namibia, and is a haven for wetland species. When the flood waters from the Kwando River are high, the park becomes like a mini Okavango Delta.
There are about 1 000 buffaloes in Nkasa Rupara, the largest concentration in the country. It is an important corridor for elephants moving from Botswana to Angola and Zambia and is also considered as a core breeding area for wildlife that can disperse into neighbouring conservancies.
 After setting up the camp, we will be going for a PM Game Drive in the Park.

Day 9
Before your breakfast we are departing for an early Game Drive in Nkasa Rupara NP.
The park size is 320 km² and it was Proclaimed in 1990.
Most of the park consists of channels of reed beds, lagoons and termitaria islands. The Kwando River forms the western boundary and the Linyanti River the south-eastern border of the park.
 In the free afternoon you can participate to a Cruise or a after dinner Night Drive the Park. This are optional activites.

Day 10
After breakfast we are departing for the mighty Zambezi River.
Forty kilometres east of Katima Mulilo, our Campsite on the Zambezi River is idyllically set on the water’s edge in a grove of tall, shady trees.
Fish Eagle calls resound through the day, amid birdsong and the soft splash of water against the riverbank. It’s time to breathe in Life and relax to the tune of nature on the shores of one of Africa’s most famous rivers. Hop aboard a boat trip to explore the Zambezi (optional), try your luck at luring the elusive Tiger Fish (optional) and savour the colours of a rich red sunset over the calm surface of the water. When night falls, the stars put on one of the finest shows on the planet, and Zambezi peace drifts through the camp like a fresh and rejuvenating breeze.
 In the afternoon before a 2h birding Drive you can participate to a Cruise or a catch and release fishing activity. (Optionals)
