Dune 7 - Helicopter - Monkey Trails Safaris

We take you on a flight over the mesmerizing dune landscape of the Namib Desert, right to the highest sand dune in the world, Dune 7. From there we fly you over Long Beach and the Swakop River Mouth and finally over the town of Swakopmund which is perfectly nestled between desert and ocean.

We do remove the helicopter doors upon request, to enable optimal photo graphics. Please note that when the doors are off, it can get windy.

Requirements

All passengers to sign Bateluer Helicopters Indemnity Conditions.
Only one small bag are allowed per passenger with a max weight of 5kg.
Children between the age of 3 – 12 is allowed, but must be accompanied by an adult who takes full responsibility for child / children during flight.
Passengers over 120kg are regrettably unable to participate, Max weight for 3 passengers – 260 kg per group.

Arrangements

All flights are weather dependent, due to heavy fog at the coast. In case the weather conditions are not playing along for flying, we will do our best to reschedule to the next best available flight. We suggest you book your flight within the following time frames to avoid disappointment.

Swakopmund:
Summer (Oct – Apr) 10:00 – 17:00 Hours.
Winter (May – Sept) 10:00 – 16:00 Hours

Sossusvlei:
Sunrise – Sunset

Please ensure that you check in 30 minutes prior to the scheduled take-off time. This will allow enough time for us to do the necessary paperwork, take weights and conduct a safety briefing.

All passengers get a window seat. Please be aware that seating allocation are done by the pilot according to weight and balance which is done during your safety briefing.

All flights offered weather permitting in the sole discretion of the pilot.
Standard Aircraft to used is Robinson R44 or similar.

What to wear

It can be quiet windy with the doors off so we suggest you put on a jacket / jersey before boarding the helicopter. It’s also best for people with medium to long hair to tie down their hair.

Meeting Point

Depending on your arrangements, you can either meet as at the Swakopmund Airstrip or at the office where transport are also available.
